Where did the Summer go!  Where has the last 18 months gone!

Are you getting the same feeling as me that life speeds up as you get older?  When I turned 60 I discovered why it’s call ‘the human race’.  It’s because it becomes a race to complete your bucket list before you die!

How are you getting on with your bucket list?  I’m still waiting to tick off the one I promised myself for turning 70 in 2020 which was to tour Morocco on my motorbike.  I hitchhiked around Morocco back in 1971 when a visit to the villages in the Atlas mountains changed my life.   I went on to study Arabic at University and then spent the next 30 years working overseas in various Arab countries

Back to the present….

The majority of classes at Sale Pilates have continued online during the Summer which members preferred.  All online classes were, and are, recorded so not only did online give members flexibility of location but also of timing.

Now Autumn is on the way. The mornings are darker and the nights are drawing in which often leads to less activity outdoors.

With this in mind I’ve added a cardio class to the October schedule to help you to get your recommended 150 minutes of cardiovascular exercise every week.



From 6th October I’ve added a new low impact aerobics class to the schedule taught by the lovely Sam Hutchinson.

I first met Sam on a business mentoring group course earlier this year.  She’s qualified to teach older adults and people with common medical and orthopaedic conditions.  Sam’s spent more than 18 years in the fitness industry and currently runs classes online and face to face in the Bristol area. 

The class will be streamed live via Zoom at 9.30am on Wednesdays.  This is an existing small group class so you will meet some lovely new people.

How to join: 

  1. this class will be included in your membership if you hold a multi-class membership
  2. you can pay the drop in fee of £8/class
  3. purchase an aerobic class membership (1 class per week) for £25 pm. Current members get a 25% discount  .

STUDIO EQUIPMENT CLASS is back.  6pm on Tuesdays.  This is a F2F Semi-Private class using the Reformer, Tower, Stability Chair, Anchor Point Training and other functional equipment. 6pm Tuesdays starting 12th November.  Get in touch if you’re interested.
