2025: Reinventing Life After 60 – Bold, Strong, and Unstoppable!

Happy New Year.

In 2025 let’s change the narrative on how we view women over 60 – on how the world views women over 60!  I want to destroy the stereotypes people have about us and show them what we’re really like. – sassy, wise, experienced – still navigating our way in life.

Ever feel like the world starts looking past you once you hit a certain age? Let’s change that story together in 2025.

Let’s stop treating retirement as a time to step back from life, put your feet up and watch the world go by.  Start living your life in 2025.

Comfort is killing you

No matter your age—but especially after 60—you need to challenge yourself daily. Keep doing the same things every day, and your body and mind will stagnate. Push yourself just a little, and you’ll be amazed at what you can achieve

Challenge yourself mentally and physically every day. Get out of your comfort zone every day. Exercise every day and make sure you feed yourself with lots of nutrients to power your new life in 2025.

Start small! Take a daily 10-minute walk, or join one of my beginner-friendly classes to start challenging yourself safely and effectively.

Senior Fit Solutions

Stay ahead of the curve—don’t let muscle loss slow you down. Let me help you build strength and confidence with tailored programs.

As part of my rebranding to Senior Fit solutions I will be focusing more on strength training in 2025.  A main causes of decline as we age is muscle loss.  We all tend to lose muscle mass as we age, but, If you’ve led a sedentary lifestyle, by the time we reach 70 we could’ve lost nearly half of our muscle mass.

Here’s what Mary said after completing the Beginners Strength Training Course:

“Joining Anita’s Beginners Strength Training Course’ was one of the best things I’ve ever done.  I’ve learnt how to do the exercises safely and correctly and I’m already feeling stronger, more upright and I’ve lost body fat”

New Bootcamp Class

Picture this: upbeat music, a welcoming vibe, and a fun workout tailored just for us! My Senior Bootcamp is all about moving to your favorite tunes, building strength, and having fun while you’re at it!  Starting soon.

Sageing not Ageing

Let’s show the world that we are sageing… Not ageing!

Use this time of the year to get rid of the ‘old’ and bring in the new you. What are you planning to do differently this year? What goals do you have?  Which items on your bucket list are you going to tick off?  Or are you just going to tick …. along?

What do you want out of your life?

It’s easy to sit back and join the norm. The norm being a world of ageing, disability and disease.  Is this what you want for yourself?

Exercise and nutrition are the magic bullets!

Stop treating your GP as God and start listening to your own body. You have a lifetime of experience to know what you should and shouldn’t have or need…or perhaps you’ve spent a big part of your life caring for others?  In this case it’s time for some serious ‘me’ time.

2025 is your time – Who are you?  What do you need?  What do you want?

Time to listen to what you need to be you and to continue growing.  Not just a wife, a mother, a grandmother,  or a daughter.

What’s your passion? What do you love to do? What does your life look like in 5 or even 10 years time?

How does your body feel?

When it comes to movement and activity, it’s important to be aware of which body bits are becoming stiff and immobile, what actions are you finding hard to do?

Take action

Stretch and mobilize the bits which are becoming stiff and even painful, strengthen the muscles that are becoming weak and stopping you doing the things you need, want and love to do?

We shouldn’t stop doing things because we think we’re getting ‘old’ – we get ‘old’ because we stop doing things!

In my small group classes I aim to address each and every participant’s issues. But once a week is not enough.  Your everyday life, activities, sports or hobbies create imbalances in your body.  It’s important to address these imbalances otherwise they’ll eventually cause pain. Pain means something is wrong and if it’s not addressed then injury and or disability will ensue.

Perhaps you’re thinking that this or that is the way that you’ve always done it and that you’re too old to change your ways.

Nothing stays the same and, particularly these days, change is the norm.  Unfortunately, it seems that change is not always a good thing so we need to build resilience to handle what life throws at us on a regular basis.

Rumor has it that another pandemic is on the way, our new government does not seem to care about us ‘oldies’ and the NHS are not only overloaded and falling apart, but doctors are NOT equipped to treat chronic disease.

Senior Fit Solutions

The goal and purpose Senior Fit Solutions is to enhance our clients’ quality of life through functional exercise and education on healthy lifestyle behaviours.

Research and experience shows that chronic disease is mainly caused by poor lifestyle behaviours.  Whilst there is a lot of controversy about what is right or wrong when it comes to lifestyle, there are still some basic things we need to adhere to and I’m planning to address these by resuming my ‘5 Pillars of Successful Ageing’ workshops.
